The summer is over and what a busy summer it was. Project BEAR moved into a new office in June, hired our very first intern in July (her name is Autumn and she is awesome!) and revamped our entire website in August. Oh, and we started a newsletter!

We are now able to ship bears every Wednesday so the wait time for free requests has been drastically decreased. In addition, we now can send confirmation emails when a form is filled out on our website, so there is no wondering if a request has gone through.

Part of our mission here at Project BEAR is to cultivate a community of caring & understanding. To help us do this, we have started a Discord Server (click here) where anyone who has experienced a loss of any kind, including infertility, can come together to share their experiences and support others as well. The Discord is free to join, although you do need a valid email (for security reasons – we don’t want bots and trolls hanging around). We would love to have you join us, share your story and be a part of our community.

I know September can be a difficult month for many, as children are back in school. If you are struggling thinking about what grade your child should be in this year or how someone is missing in the back-to-school photos or just longing for the day – I see you. You are not alone. You will always find support here at Project BEAR.

September is also NICU Awareness Month so we want to give a shout out to all the NICU moms and dads, doctors and nurses and all the NICU babies – the graduates, those still fighting and those no longer with us. You are in our hearts and prayers, this month and always.
